Apple says unlocking new iPhones is not possible.

Apple recently stated in a United States court that unlocking new iPhones (running on iOS 8 and iOS 9) is impossible. Apple said that it is beyond their reach or others' to do it because of their entire disk encryption. Apple also stated that they however can extract data from iPhones running older versions of iOS.

The tech giant and highest share holder in the mobile market stated the above mentioned statements after a federal judge asked them to clear their position on this matter on a case that includes extracting data from a locked iPhone that the agency needs to extract data from. The iPhone that needs to be extracted data from is running on iOS 7 which concludes that Apple can very well extract the data the Agency wants it to do. However they are resisting and they have their own reasons:

"Forcing Apple to extract data in this case, absent clear legal authority to do so, could threaten the trust between Apple and its customers and substantially tarnish the Apple brand," the company said in a brief. "This reputational harm could have a longer term economic impact beyond the mere cost of performing the single extraction at issue."

The elegant HTC One A9 goes official.

HTC One A9 holds a unique title to it's name; the first non Nexus and non Android One programme phone to be launched with Marshmallow aka Android 6.0. It it the HTC's latest phone and it looks absolutely ravishing. It is an all metal phone and it sure looks like iPhone 6 on a personal base. The handset is set to be released to try to recover some of HTC's loses throughout the years and the struggle of the One series.

Surprisingly enough, it holds home to a 5' AMOLED screen of full HD 1080p resolution. Yes, you read that right, it is a 5' AMOLED screen. It also holds the title of being the first phone in the market with a snapdragon 617 processor. It is a octa core processor and has four cores running at 1.5 ghz and the other four running at 1.2 ghz. The GPU is Adreno 405 and it has 2/3 GB of RAM depending on the variants.

The A9's body is totally made of metal with Gorilla Glass 4 used for protecting it. The Gorilla Glass 4 is used on the entire front panel. The A9 is 7.2 mm slim and is quite small comparing to today's standards of smartphones. It can easily fit inside a pocket. The camera is a 13 MP unit with OIS and full HD recording. It supports RAW photo type and stabilized time lapse videos known as Hyperlapse. The front camera is 4 MP of the Ultrapixel introduced by HTC technology. It has a MicroSD card slot and it comes with 16/32 gigs of storage. 4G LTE is also supported.

As you might have noticed from the photos, there is a 'home' button, surprising for a HTC phone. This phone is breaking a lot of expectations for sure. The Home button doubles as an always running fingerprint sensor. It will unlock the device even if the screen is not turned on. It has a 2150 mAh battery, not big by today's standards at all. This phone will be released in the first week of november in Carbon Grey, Opal Silver, Topaz Gold and Deep Garnet colors. The price hasn't been told yet.

Huawei P8 Lite: The Review.

I am proud to tell you guys that I recently bought this beautiful device from Huawei and I have to say, it is far more than what you expect. I recently bought this device for Rps 21,300 but the official invoice of the phone is rps 23,500 something. In dollars, this price is roughly equivalent 204$. I am talking about a new sealed back device here and I only expected an entry level just for the go phone. I was not expecting anything else than a phone I could keep for sometime before I get a high end model but I was in for a surprise. Let's get the specifications covered first:

Octa Core 64 Bit Processor (HiSilicon Krin 620 Cortex A53)
5.0 inch HD Display resulting in a PPI of 294
Dual Sim (One micro and One nano sim card slot)
2 GB Ram and 16 GBs of storage
7.7 mm sleek and slim profile
4G LTE enabled (One Sim)
Emotion UI 3.1 built on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop
13 MP back camera and 5 MP front camera
1080p Full HD recording (Front and back, both)
Dual LED flash
Colors: White, Black and Gold
Battery: 2200 mAh (Non removable)

Hardware and Software:

Now that I have got the specifications covered and you have an idea of the phone's capability. Let's progress further to the hardware. Starting with the processor, it is an octa core 64 bit processor based on the same architecture and the same 20 nm process so you can expect it to line up pretty well alongside the new mid range Snapdragon. It is a very snappy processor and while you may come across rare freezes, the rest of the thing is pretty glitchy and fast. It does not take much time in opening apps and is by far the leader of the mid range pack. It packs 2 gigs of ram and a HD screen to power. It has an Emotion UI which is Huawei's personal UI built right on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop but it is nowhere near the stock experience. In fact I would go as far as calling it nearer to iPhone's UI than Android. It has some pretty interesting gestures incarved in its depth which one can get used to if he owns it. It is a pretty fast software and doesn't offer any wait for the user. The app opening times are far better than any phone within the $250 range. Keep in mind that on benchmark scores, the P8 lite gets ahead of all the mid range phones holding home to the Snapdragon 615 so it is technically faster than the bunch. Thanks to the 2 gigs of ram, it does not have much problem handling any of the usual apps and mid level gaming. It weighs 131 grams and measures 143 x 70.6 x 7.7 mm. It is a very sleek and elegant device. Although in order to cut the prices, Huawei used plastic in place of metal at the back but it still feels classy.

There is a dual LED flash that can turn a totally dark spot into a fairly bright one. The 13 MP camera at the back is one good one too. I recently have been capturing pictures with it and I am totally satisfied. I can't seem to post samples as of yet but I will post some soon. The front camera is a 5 megapixel unit that would be used for taking selfies and also records 1080p video @30 fps. It has a great selfie camera and its' result is very good. I will post some samples soon if I get the chance to.

Moving on to the software, the Emotion UI 3.1 based on the android lollipop 5.0.2. It has some pretty interesting gestures which I would tell you about later in this paragraph. It is more like iPhone style as it does not have a app drawer. It holds all the apps on the right and left pages. You can hide them or you can delete them. If you zoom in by multitouch of two fingers on the homescreen, it will take you into the hide apps section and if you zoom out by the same procedure you will be on the customization page. It has a beautiful interface as a whole but do not expect an even near stock android experience because it is not like android in any aspect.

Last, but not the least, the battery. It is a 2200 mAh unit which is noticably less than the lesser priced Honor 4C but still can manage to run the phone for over the day. However the main concern here is not the battery life, but the battery charging time. And it is not only the concern of the P8 lite but every Huawei device released. It is supplied with a 1A charger which charges the phone in about three and a half hours. Now that, my friends is a big problem. The same problem I suffered through when I bought the Honor 3C but as the battery life is really good even with the relatively small battery, it is usable. I am yet to give it a try with the 2A charger so fingers crossed.

On the overall, the P8 lite is a beautiful mid range device, arguably the most gorgeous one in this range. The features are not bad at all, the processor and the ram make a good combination and it is really snappy. It does not slow at all or lag even. The browser is really fast and the connectivity is really good. So if you are going for a new phone inside the 25 thousand rupees range, you should definitely give this a try. Hope this article was helpful. Any questions are welcomed in the comments! :)

Marshmallow love: The finale. 3/3

Here is the last third of the list of the devices getting enriched with the Android 6.0 aka Marshmallow. Without any further inconvenience, I'll just write the list. Here you go.

7. HTC:

Well, well, well. You all must have been thinking where is HTC in this long list and I hope this wait has been worth it because HTC has a big list of devices that it will upgrade soon and given HTC's history with updates, you won't be disappointed. Here you go with the devices.

HTC One M9
HTC One M9 Plus
HTC One E9
HTC One E9 Plus
HTC One M8
HTC One E8

Not that long, eh. But they've got the flagships covered.

Moving forward.

8. Xiaomi:

The recently growing Chinese company makes it services even wider and takes the users satisfaction to another level. It has a whole bunch of devices it is upgrading. Here it is.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2
Xiaomi Redmi 2
Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime
Xiaomi Mi 4i
Xiaomi Mi 4
Xiaomi Mi Note
Xiaomi Mi Note Pro

9. Huawei:

Here comes my personal favorite Chinese tech giant and one of the fastest growing ones too. It has the second largest amount of devices that will be upgraded to taste Marshmallow. You will be awed.

Huawei Ascend P8
Huawei Ascend P8 Max
Huawei MediaPad X2
Huawei Mate S
Huawei Honor 7
Huawei Honor 7i
Huawei Honor 6 Plus
Huawei Honor 6
Huawei Mate 7
Huawei Honor 4X
Huawei Honor 4C
Huawei Ascend G7

10. Qmobile:

And here comes the surprise package, the bonus package and the most unexpected of the bunch. Yes, Qmobile have technically made headlines, or as I should rather say it should have made the headlines but their Android One programme phone Qmobile A1 didn't get much attention as it was outweighed by the advertisement of their other newcomer Qmobile S1. Yes, the new Qmobile A1 were among the first of the ones to be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. As most of you are not aware of its specifications, it holds home to a quad core processor, albeit a low range model which does justice to its petty $100 price tag. It has 1 GB of RAM and a 5 MP back camera with HD recording. And with Google's stock software running on it, it races like a Honda Civic if not a Ferrari.

Hope it helped a lot! Feedback would be loved. Thank you for visiting.

Marshmallow love: The Second. 2/3

Here is the second part of the major list getting the Marshmallow treatment aka Android 6.0. Most of these phones are flagships or were flagships, and if they weren't, they are usually high end phones. So without any further words, here we go.

Starting off with Sony..

4. Sony:

Sony, by far, as the largest number of phones that will be updated to Android 6.0 aka Marshmallow albeit how late. The Japanese giant has about 14 devices with one dating back to the ancient 2013 involving GPE(Google Play Edition) devices too. The list is as following:

Sony Xperia Z5
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium
Sony Xperia Z5 Compact
Sony Xperia Z3+
Sony Xperia Z3
Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
Sony Xperia Z2
Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet
Sony Xperia C4
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra
Sony Xperia M4 Aqua
Sony Xperia M5

And here's the final phone, the ancient Sony Xperia Z Ultra GPE from 2013.

5. LG:

Lg is only updating three devices which are

LG G4(Unexpected)
LG G Flex2
LG G3

6. Asus:

Zenphone 2 series
Zenphone 2 Lazer
Zenphone selfie
Zenphone go
Zenphone 2 deluxe.

And the last part of the list will follow soon. Keep tuned.

Marshmallow love! 1/3

I know it is not a totally life changing updates but hey, we all love major updates, don't we? And most of us would definitely be anxious to find out if our devices are on the go to planet marshmallow list? Well, here's a good news. You don't have to wait much to find out. Most of the manufacterers have released lists of the devices they'd be providing the updates to and there are surely some surprises too. Well, as most of you already know, the Nexus devices released since 2013 and the Android One program phones have already received the update. The rest of the manufacterers have since paid attention to this and announced the babies they're giving the M treatment. Here you go, I hope you are not disappointed.

1. Samsung:

As expected the Note 5 and the Edge+ would be the first ones from Samsung to get the M treatment as well as S6 and S6 Edge. The overall list is as follows:

2015)

Samsung Galaxy Note 5
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+
Samsung Galaxy S6
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

2014)

Samsung Galaxy Note 4
Samsung Galaxy S5
Samsung Galaxy Alpha
Samsung Galaxy A7
Samsung Galaxy A8.
The rest of the A series have been left out.

2. OnePlus:

Only two phones would be updates as there are only two phones from the company. :D
OnePlus One.
OnePlus 2.

3. Motorola:

Motorola X Pure edition (3rd generation)
Motorola X Play
Motorola X Style
Motorola G (3rd Generation)

Also, some others from 2014:
Motorola Moto X Pure edition (2nd generation)
Motorola Droid Turbo
Motorola Moto MAXX
Motorola Moto Turbo

If you didn't find your phone or your manufacturer in the list above, do not worry at all. I will enlist the rest of the companies and phones in my next two posts.

The Tales of Social Media.

As most of you have already heard, there is an actual thing named 'digital marketing'. Most of us have zero knowledge about it apart from the fact that it exists, but yes guys, it is real. People are actually paid to do these jobs. It is as real as anything these days. Most companies have employees from the previous generations, not the so called 'social' generations.
But social media accounts for huge business these days. Most companies are accounting for most of their revenues through their social media accounts. Let's admit it, every single one of us have Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and other social accounts and it is much easier to do marketing on internet and social medias instead of real life. Social media marketing is the real hot thing these days. It pays a lot and companies pay a lot to people who are capable of doing this. It requires minimal time and conveys the whole thing to the viewers too. It requires little to no effort as all of us know how to use social media.
SEO fully known as Search Engine Optimization is another factor that contributes a lot to companies and websites increasing their traffic and in turn increasing their product sales and all among others. Websites hire people who are well known with this procedure where they use words that are frequently searched and create URLs that are easy to locate which increases their rank in the world and make it easy to search them on google, bing, yahoo and other search engines.
Paid marketing is like the hybrid of social media and marketing. People hire people who are well known and popular users on social media to advertise their products, suggest other people to check the products out and see if they find it usable. Most importantly, they gather feedback on how the product is, may it be an app or a shirt, how it can be improved. There are a lot of jobs going on like this but it does need some digging to get hold of one. Hope you enjoyed this article and hope it was helpful.

Marshmallow and Sony!

Yes, you read that right. Sony has announced the list of the devices that are going to be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Quite surprisingly, these devices are straight going to be updated to Android 6.0 instead of getting an update of android 5.1.1. These devices will go straight from Android 5.0 to Android 6.0 which is not that surprising given Sony's unexpected nature. There are six devices in the list and if you are a mid range Sony owner, you shouldn't watch this news, it's disturbing.
The devices listed are
1. Sony Xperia Z3+
2. Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet.
3. Sony Xperia C4.
4. Sony Xperia M4 Aqua.
5. Sony Xperia M5.
6. Sony Xperia C5 Ultra.

Keep in minds that these devices will be straight updated to Android 6.0. Also remember that if you're a Xperia Z3 owner or another flagship, there is no need to worry as these are not the only devices Sony will be updating. Although we'd have to wait for further word by Sony. Because Marshmallow is already released, Sony thought of wasting no further time in preparing Android 5.1.1 updates for these devices and are going to put them straight on a flight to Marshmallow. Although the question is now when would it be? How sooner it would be?

My personal guess is, not this year. It would probably be at the start of next year but let's keep our fingers crossed and be patient.

LG G4 Marshmallow 6.0 update.

There's some great news for G4 owners. LG will begin updating the G4 starting from the next week. As G3 owners are already familier with the updates, they will start from Poland and then gradually to the rest of the countries. The update has been announced by the Korean Giant recently in a official press release. LG has worked really hard on this update with Google to make it a reality this soon. As the G4 gives home to the same chipset of the Nexus 5X, it is hardly a surprise. Keep updating us if you get hold of it.

Snapdragon Daddy!

While the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 is going to be out really soon, here I am going to talk a bit about Qualcomm's new breed, it's successor the totally unannounced 830. While the Snapdragon 820 is going to be in the markets this year in the last months or next year's early months, this gem 830 is going to be in the markets as soon as somewhere around the second half of 2016. Of course it is going to take some time as even 820 is not in the markets as of yet.

While the 820 is made on a 14 nm process the snapdragon 830 will apparently be made on an even smaller 10 nm process, the efficiency and power would be lifted up immensely by this. It will still have a Qualcomm designed architecture probably with the Kyro cores which are making their debut on the 820. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
